About Us
Diamond Bird Dogs was founded by head trainer Dylan Thomas, whose passion for working dogs and the outdoors has shaped every aspect of the program. Dylan serves as a professor at Auburn University, where he leads the Wildlife Enterprise Management Program – the same program he earned a degree in as a student at Auburn. He has played many roles in the outdoor industry but his passion for dogs and teaching has always shined.
Along the way, Dylan married the love of his life in the shortgrass prairie of North Dakota, fittingly surrounded by dogs, a reflection of the life they’ve built together. Today, they share that same love for the outdoors with their beautiful daughter, continuing a family tradition rooted in dogs, land, and lifestyle.
“Diamond Bird Dogs was created with one goal in mind: to help others experience their dogs through love, structure and the outdoors.”
Driven by unmatched energy and a deep respect for the sporting lifestyle, Dylan and his team are committed to helping every client and dog reach their full potential. Whether starting with foundational obedience or refining advanced field skills, Diamond Bird Dogs is dedicated to developing confident dogs and lasting partnerships.
